Change.

We cleaned out the garden yesterday. I had a little time to reminisce about this summer. The garden was perfect therapy to come home to with my mom being in the hospital. I was just as excited as the kids when the vegetables were ready to pick. I even whispered sweet nothings to them in hopes of a plentiful harvest. Yes, I talk to plants and next year I may even put a video on YouTube.

I bet you are wondering how I did at growing things this summer?

For those of you who don’t remember I started a garden. The whole garden gig was AWESOME. I loved going out there everyday in hopes of more snow peas. The kids patiently waited for the carrots to be ready. I learned that you can make Pineapple Zucchini when you can’t give it away fast enough. It was wicked fun and I can’t wait for next year. Want to see some pics from over the summer?

END OF SUMMER

I harvested around 7-10 plates like this to bring to the dinner table this summer. This plate is the only tomato that turned red for me. Darn tomatoes.

and last but not least. My PUMPKINS. Yes, they are green but darn it they are beautiful. Look! I have corn stalks too. I just love everything about fall.

Change is a measure of time and, in the autumn, time seems speeded up. What was is not and never again will be; what is is change.
